ABEREKIN CAPTURES CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES ON THE 2004 SPANISH NATIONAL SHOW
Larry Tande from Minnesota, USA, place 176 heads on October 2 and 3. In the championship circle, the winners sired by ABEREKIN bulls included Junior Grand Champion (by Lk-Emerlad LIDER et) and Reserve Junior Grand Champion (by Mesland DUPLEX et). The 2004 National Show of the Spanish Holstein Association (CONAFE) was judged by the American Holstein breeder Larry Tande (Minnesota-USA). Victory went to Badiola Leduc Megate I (moments earlier Megate I had claimed the Intermediate title). The Supreme Junior Champion was won by Llinda LIDER Bruna, a daughter of an ABEREKIN bull Lk-Emerald LIDER (Leadman x Emerald-Acres-Sa Tia VG-87 x Ripvalley Na Bell Tammy EX-94). She has a very good and smuggly attached udder. She has a long rump that is wide and has a nice slope to it, a very strong top line and she has a front end that is long and strong. "She is the kind of cow we look for, a cow that will continue to develop over time". The Reserve Junior Champion title was the DUPLEX daughter named Casablanca DUPLEX Coro, owned by Sarabia and Casablanca Farms. She was a clear choice for the judge, a very dairy cow. This, together with her outstanding udder and feet&legs, makes her into a very complete cow. Mesland DUPLEX et (Durham x Henkeseen Hills Emerald EX-90 x Henkeseen M Hillary EX-94) is a bull from ABEREKIN backed by 5 generations of Excellent cows, the Hillary family. He is recently classified EX. A very promissing bull. In some of the intermediate classes, daughters of Miss JAZZ et (Jed x Blackstar Acclaim EX-91), from Behi-Alde Farm, ranked very well. Especially their udder quality and frame were remarkable. Also the Storm red carrier son, STARTIT, made a good show start with Alba Maral STARTIT (Spanish Junior Champion, Spring-2003) This has been a great year for ABEREKIN.
